#4- The website doesn't display properly

Our website is based on standards based website code. This means that for the most part, it will display correctly across lots of internet browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Safari.

While our code is generally standards compliant, the Primal Youth website uses a large amount of user generated content, meaning that it is very hard to produce valid pages.

However, some web browsers do not fully support web standards, meaning that they cannot properly read how the website should be shown. This is why you may receive a message telling you that you need to upgrade your browser if you are using Internet Explorer 6.

Our website does allow you visit it if you are unable to upgrade to Internet Explorer 7, however if you are using Internet Explorer 6, the menu bar and other items may not display correctly.

#8- I have found objectionable / obscene content

If you have found images, text or video in comments, or on someone's profile, please do not hesitate to report the content to be reviewed by our site managers. You can report content about comments or someone's profile by using the report content button, or you can click here.

It is important that you include the URL or Address for the page that you wish to have reviewed.

#2- The images in my profile are grainy / fuzzy

This happens because the website automatically resizes the images that you paste into the about me section. This prevents your pictures from sticking out of the about me box.

If you want to make sure they appear exactly as you want them, resize them to a width less than 300px wide, and they'll look good.

#3- I get a profile not found error

This is because someone has entered a username that doesn't exist.

There is nothing that you can do to fix this error, although you can try looking for people using our friend locator on the homepage.

#5- The buttons don't work on 'myprofile'

This is because My Profile is a preview of how your profile will appear to other users. With the exception of the 'Report Content' button, the other buttons are intended to be used by other users browsing your profile.

#6- I am having trouble uploading images

You may be having trouble uploading images for a number of reasons. Please check the following:

  • Your image is JPG / JPEG format
  • It is under 500kb in size
  • It contains funny unicode characters
  • Your internet connection times out

If none of these fix your issue, please contact support to have your issue resolved.

#7- My image comes out half grey

This is because you did not successfully upload your image. When your photo is done uploading, the page will reload. If you are using a slow internet connection, it is common for timeouts to occur.

This means that your photo is literally half uploaded, and to fix this problem you just need to upload a new image and it will be overwritten.

#9- What are those stars?

If you see stars like ***** in comments, it means that the website has automatically blocked some of those naughty cuss words, however these comments are subject to removal, and they trigger an automatic flag with our site staff for review.

If you notice a word has been censored accidentally, don't worry because chances are that our website has already picked it up and it will be fixed in no time!

#12- My picture doesn't display properly or at all

The best way to correct this problem is to rename your picture so that it has no spaces, or funny characters. Support is guaranteed for pictures that are named with the letters a-z and number 0-9 only, for example:

If you have renamed your photo and re-uploaded it to your profile, and you are still having problems, please email support

#1- The username / email that you picked does not exist

The reason that this message occurs is because someone on the Primal Youth website has already signed up using either that username or the email that you wanted to use.

If you believe this message was caused in error, please contact us.

#10- I cannot login / My account has been deleted

Your account can be deleted for a number of reasons, such as

  • You have not registered using a correct email, or other fake details
  • You have posted inappropriate content

Primal Youth periodically reviews its database to ensure consistency with user's information.

Primal Youth reserves the right to remove users from its website at our own discretion, however if you feel the need to discuss this further, please contact support.

#11- Why can my account be deleted for incorrect details?

It is important that our website has access to correct, working emails for a number of reasons, mainly so that if you forget your password, you are able to reset it

You also receive email notifications when you are commented on your profile. Our website needs a working address in order to mail out this information, and if your email is sent incorrectly you won\'t get this email (which is dumb) and our server will also get congested with mail going nowhere.
